Hassan Abbaszadeh, who also heads the National Petrochemical Company
(NPC), met with CEOs of companies operating in PETZONE to evaluate recent
emergency response measures taken during a wave of threats and attacks
attributed to Israel. The meeting highlighted lessons learned and reinforced
the need for continued coordination and preparedness.
“Thanks to previously implemented civil defense protocols and the
efforts of crisis management teams, operations remained stable and no
significant damage was reported,” Abbaszadeh said.
He noted that PETZONE had conducted several emergency drills in prior
months, which contributed to its swift response. During the crisis, specialized
committees were activated promptly, and senior managers remained on-site
alongside staff to oversee safety protocols and protect nearby communities.
“In today’s session, all recent actions were reviewed, and both
strengths and weaknesses were identified,” Abbaszadeh added. “We aim to address
all gaps and ensure full readiness for future threats.”
The gathering aimed to consolidate operational experiences and enhance
inter-company coordination across the zone, a key hub in Iran’s petrochemical
industry.
