TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Shahid Raeisi Golestan Petrochemical Company announced that its urea and ammonia project is accelerating toward the main construction phase, having completed basic engineering, utility contractor selection, and technical documentation.

According to CEO Yazdani Kashani, the EPCC contract with Petrosazeh Mobin was signed in July 2024. By the end of the Iranian year 1403 (March 2025), the project had reached 18.6% overall progress.

Key 2024 achievements include foundation work for an ammonia storage tank, finalizing gas supply agreements with installment terms, securing a minimum water supply of 10 million cubic meters from Gorgan’s wastewater treatment plant, and prepayment for fuel and feedstock gas.

Additionally, the company has updated the plant layout to integrate future expansion units and allow access to the national railway. A €480 million loan facility from the National Development Fund, facilitated through Tejarat Bank, has been approved by the government.

For 2025, the company will prioritize initiating core project execution, holding tenders for offsite and utility units, finalizing contracts for power supply, water reuse agreements, and project finance syndication, while implementing project management standards across operations.

The company also approved a nominal 2-rial per share cash dividend and retained its current board composition.
