Abdolrahman Keshvari, speaking during a joint meeting with the Deputy
Petroleum Minister and executives of petrochemical firms operating in PETZONE,
highlighted the zone’s consistent implementation of civil defense directives
amid heightened regional threats.
He underscored the importance of prior planning, coordination, and
leadership in mitigating risks.
“We closely monitored the situation both online and through direct
reports and communications with senior managers,” Keshvari said. “Field
assessments today confirmed that the prescribed civil defense protocols were
executed promptly and effectively.”
He credited the successful outcome to PETZONE’s prior emergency
drills, unified leadership under the zone’s chief civil defense commander, and
the strategic oversight of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC).
“The region’s organized and proactive approach serves as a commendable
example of how to manage emergencies in vital infrastructure,” Keshvari noted.
“It is a model that should be studied and replicated across other strategic
sectors.”
Keshvari expressed hope that PETZONE’s readiness would be further
strengthened through ongoing infrastructure upgrades and continuous training,
enhancing its resilience against future threats.
