Mohammad Shokri, CEO of Dehdasht Petrochemical Industries Company,
announced the approval and praised the cooperation of the Department of
Environment of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province. The permit was issued
following a technical assessment meeting held by the provincial environmental
committee, which included field inspections and expert evaluations.
“The new power plant will not only ensure a stable electricity supply
for the Dehdasht complex but also enhance power reliability across the
provincial grid,” Shokri said.
As Vice Chairman of the Board, Shokri emphasized that the project will
be developed in collaboration with Iran’s MAPNA Group and will leverage
domestic capabilities and modern technologies. The facility is expected to
generate both direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region.
Shokri added that the project is being implemented in coordination
with local authorities and regulatory bodies, and in full compliance with
environmental standards. “This is a strategic step in strengthening the energy
infrastructure in southern Iran and aligning with the principles of sustainable
development,” he said.
