Mohammad Motaghi, Director of Downstream Industries Development at
NPC, confirmed that production of rotational molding grade 3840 is ongoing and
sufficient to cover market needs. "We have coordinated with producers to
refrain from any export commitments regarding this grade until further notice,"
he stated.
Concerns had recently risen over the availability of grade 3840,
produced by Tabriz Petrochemical and Bakhtar Holding. In response, NPC
announced that Tabriz Petrochemical’s weekly supply will increase from 1,700 to
2,200 tonnes. The company will alternate between forward and cash-based sales
every two weeks to support steady market availability.
Bakhtar Petrochemical Group is also continuing its scheduled
deliveries without disruption, and supply logistics have been accelerated to
avoid bottlenecks, Motaghi added.
He emphasized that market conditions remain stable, with no notable
price hikes in the feedstock. “We are continuously monitoring the market, and
current production levels are sufficient to meet all domestic requirements,” he
noted.
In a related development, Marun Petrochemical has introduced a new
blow-molding HDPE grade named BL7, designed specifically for 220-liter drum
production. The product, meeting required industry standards, is expected to be
listed on the Iran Mercantile Exchange soon.
“With the introduction of BL7 and secured supply of grade 3840,
concerns regarding raw material availability for water tank and drum
manufacturing have been effectively addressed,” Motaghi concluded.
