According to the company’s public relations
office, the major overhaul — initially planned to begin on October 3, 2025 —
was moved forward to September 12 due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite the
earlier start, maintenance operations on the ethane recovery, styrene monomer,
and ethylbenzene units were completed efficiently through precise planning and
rapid mobilization of technical resources.
A key highlight of this year’s turnaround was a
sharp reduction in the maintenance period for the ethane unit — cut from 26
days in previous years to just 14 — marking a significant improvement in time
management and operational efficiency.
The unloading of butane and propane export
pipelines at the company’s jetty was also completed in 12 days, compared to the
usual 20, thanks to the implementation of corrective methods. As a result,
exports from Pars, Parsian Sepehr, and Bushehr petrochemical complexes
continued uninterrupted throughout the maintenance period.
The company added that during the overhaul,
styrene monomer supplies to domestic downstream industries were maintained
without disruption, ensuring continued production across the value chain.
