The 15.2-megawatt solar plant, under construction
on a 23-hectare site, features high-efficiency panels with a 23.5% conversion
rate. The installation follows six months of regulatory approvals and
overcoming challenges related to international sanctions.
According to the company’s statement, the project
is part of broader efforts to optimize energy consumption, reduce environmental
impacts, and diversify the country’s energy sources. It also aligns with the
company’s social responsibility initiatives and aims to help address Iran’s
electricity supply gaps.
The refinery, a key contributor to Iran’s energy
infrastructure, sees the solar project as a flagship initiative in its
transition toward cleaner energy and sustainable development.
