Reza Khalaj, head of the Basij Command at the National Petrochemical
Company (NPC), stressed the need for coordination between NPC and the Basij of
the Ministry of Petroleum. “As the Supreme Leader has consistently highlighted
service to the people and safeguarding revolutionary values, we are duty-bound
to take serious and sincere steps in this path,” he said at the “8 Years of
Epic, 12 Days of Power” program.
Hossein-Reza Sadeghi, senior advisor to the Commander of the Islamic
Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), described martyrs as having paved the way for
the Islamic Revolution through their sacrifice. “The culture of jihad and
martyrdom transcends time and place; their contributions continue to benefit
society indefinitely,” he said, emphasizing the need for each individual to
recognize their role in advancing the revolution.
Ahmad Zolghadr, another IRGC advisor, highlighted the dedication of
personnel in economic, industrial, research, and export sectors. “The
commitment and hard work of employees often rival the sacrifices of martyrs.
Many impactful efforts occur in difficult conditions, unseen but vital for
national security and progress,” he said.
Zolghadr added that the values of unity, perseverance, and selfless
effort, exemplified by war veterans and defenders of sacred sites, continue to
inspire Iran’s younger generations in facing domestic and international
challenges.
The ceremony concluded with NPC CEO Hassan Abbaszadeh honoring
families of martyrs and war veterans for their sacrifices.
