TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Iran’s Mobin Energy Persian Gulf Co. has stepped in to supply part of the water needed in the southern county of Asaluyeh as temperatures soar, the company said on Tuesday.

One of the country’s largest utility providers in the oil and petrochemical sector, Mobin Energy has previously installed desalination units in underserved villages as part of the Persian Gulf Holding’s water supply initiative, providing drinking water to local communities.

This summer, the company is going further by supplying non-potable water and covering transportation costs to help maintain green spaces in Asaluyeh’s towns and villages.

The initiative, carried out in coordination with the Asaluyeh governor’s office and the county’s water and wastewater department, aims to mitigate this year’s water crisis. Distribution will be overseen by the local water authority, the company said.

Mobin Energy said it remains committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility alongside its industrial duties.
