TEHRAN, Sept 11 (NIPNA) – The 19th edition of IranPlast demonstrated not only the vitality of Iran’s petrochemical sector but also its capacity to withstand regional economic and political turbulence, according to Reza Tofighi, Secretary-General of the Iranian Association of Masterbatch and Compound Manufacturers.
“To hold a major industry exhibition under current conditions is itself a significant achievement,” Tofighi said at the event. “IranPlast 19 stands as a testament to the resilience and dynamism of Iran’s petrochemical industry.”
Organizers worked closely with the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) and communications teams to encourage wide participation from association members and industry stakeholders. The result was near-full occupancy of the association’s roughly 100 exhibition booths, creating a lively and engaging environment for both exhibitors and visitors.
Despite ongoing sanctions and regional tensions, Tofighi noted a notable turnout of foreign attendees from neighboring countries. This facilitated high-quality B2B meetings and specialized discussions, helping Iranian companies establish and strengthen cross-border commercial relationships.
According to Tofighi, feedback from exhibitors suggests that IranPlast 19 exceeded expectations. “Participants were highly satisfied with the outcomes of the exhibition,” he said. “This year may well be one of the most successful editions in recent memory.”
Beyond serving as a showcase for domestic capabilities, IranPlast provides a strategic platform for expanding international market access. For the masterbatch and compound sector—key segments in the plastics value chain—the exhibition offers opportunities to increase both domestic market penetration and export potential.
“To all organizers, colleagues, and participants, we extend our gratitude,” Tofighi concluded. “IranPlast has proven that, despite challenges, Iran’s petrochemical industry remains vibrant, adaptive, and poised for growth.”
