Ali Ghaffari, deputy of Tabriz Petrochemical Complex, told NIPNA that
specialized trade fairs offer the advantage of creating direct links between
producers and consumers, while also allowing firms to gauge competitor
capabilities. “This comparison helps us plan product development and
improvement more effectively,” he said.
Ghaffari highlighted that IranPlast, first held in 2002, has grown
alongside Iran’s polymer industry over 23 years. While foreign participation
has fluctuated due to economic and political factors, the exhibition remains
instrumental in fostering industry collaboration and introducing innovations.
Among Tabriz Petrochemical’s achievements over the past year, Ghaffari
cited the launch of new ABS color grades and the production of Grade 3840 for
water storage tanks, addressing critical national water management needs. He
emphasized that petrochemicals play a vital role in everyday life, from
packaging and household items to automotive and infrastructure.
“IranPlast is not only a showcase for products and services but also a
platform for listening to customers, understanding market needs, and promoting
industry synergy,” Ghaffari said. He added that continuing and expanding the
international dimension of the exhibition could further strengthen sustainable
development in Iran’s petrochemical sector.
