TEHRAN, Sept 13 (NIPNA) – IranPlast 19 has emerged as a showcase for domestic industrial prowess, even as the region faces economic and political uncertainties, according to Ebrahim Sheikh, Deputy for General Industries at the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade (Ministry of SMIT).

Speaking during his visit to the exhibition, Sheikh emphasized the critical role of IranPlast in providing a platform for industry stakeholders to demonstrate capabilities and foster collaboration. “Despite regional instability, the energetic participation of industry owners, associations, parent companies, and petrochemical specialists was remarkable,” he said.

Sheikh highlighted the exhibition’s function as a hub for interaction among private sector companies, knowledge-based enterprises, and industry associations, noting its potential to strengthen both domestic and international market positions.

He also addressed market management, stressing close coordination between the Ministry of SMIT and the National Petrochemical Company (NPC). “A joint task force meets weekly to monitor product supply, track production levels, and ensure smooth market operations. This collaborative approach helps stabilize pricing and supports downstream industries,” Sheikh explained.

The 19th IranPlast exhibition, running from Monday through Thursday at Tehran’s permanent international exhibition center, reaffirmed its role as a central venue for showcasing Iran’s industrial and petrochemical capabilities.
