TEHRAN, Sept 11 (NIPNA) – The 19th IranPlast exhibition offered Iranian producers a platform to strengthen ties with Iraqi markets and expand regional exports, according to officials attending the event.

Ahmad Sifi, Director of the Iran Trade Center in Iraq, said the exhibition highlighted Iran’s capabilities in polymers, machinery, raw materials, and finished products, providing direct access to Iraqi traders and business partners. “IranPlast is one of the country’s most important industrial events, enabling Iranian companies to showcase their production capacities to regional markets,” Sifi said.
He emphasized Iraq’s growing demand for polymer products, packaging materials, household goods, and construction supplies, noting that recent years have seen a significant increase in imports from Iran. “Participation in exhibitions like IranPlast can strengthen these trends, facilitating contract signing and long-term business collaboration,” he added.
Sifi also highlighted the role of the Iran Trade Center in Iraq in supporting Iranian exporters. “We aim to streamline trade connections and ease market entry for Iranian companies, ensuring that opportunities presented at IranPlast translate into tangible business outcomes,” he said.
The 19th IranPlast ran from Sept. 8 to 11 at Tehran’s permanent international exhibition center, gathering over 700 domestic and international companies and underscoring Iran’s growing role in the regional polymer and plastics sector.
