Speaking ahead of the four-day exhibition,
Abbaszadeh emphasized the event’s role in supporting private sector companies
and knowledge-based firms, allowing them to pursue sustainable development with
greater confidence.
“IranPlast reflects the growth and domestic
capabilities of our industry across upstream and downstream sectors and
highlights technological advancements and market development in petrochemicals,”
he said.
Abbaszadeh noted a strategic shift in downstream
companies from domestic-focused production toward exports and global market
participation, underscoring the sector’s maturity. He added that in the past
decade, downstream industries have improved product quality significantly and
adopted modern technologies, capturing a growing share of export markets.
He also highlighted collaboration with the
Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology to support knowledge-based companies
and high-tech innovators, establishing a specialized management structure to
connect these firms with petrochemical companies and facilitate commercial and
technological cooperation.
The 19th IranPlast exhibition will serve as a
platform to strengthen trade interactions, showcase export potential, and
promote coordinated progress toward national economic resilience goals in the
petrochemical sector.
