The initiative follows an agreement between the company’s management
and the Labor and Employment Services Department of the Petrochemical Special
Economic Zone Organization, based on a decision by the Labor Commission of
Mahshahr County Governor’s Office.
A number of local workers had been temporarily laid off amid
operational restrictions and disruptions affecting industrial activity during
the war. The regional employment authority began pursuing their reinstatement
from the outset, eventually securing the company’s agreement to rehire the
affected workers.
Under the arrangement, eligible local workers will return through
manpower-supply contracts, with recruitment determined by the company’s
organizational structure, workforce requirements and available positions across
its various operating units.
The initiative is intended to protect local employment while allowing
the company to retain access to experienced and specialized workers as
production and operational activities continue.
The Labor and Employment Services Department said it will continue
coordinating between employers and current or laid-off workers within the
framework of labor laws, with the aim of protecting employment and supporting
the continuity of industrial operations in the region.
The return of the workers will also enable Takht Jamshid Petrochemical
to once again draw on the experience and technical capabilities of employees
familiar with its operations, according to the organization.
