The initiatives, launched as part of the petrochemical industry’s
social responsibility programs, include a drinking water transmission line,
expansion of water storage facilities, and the construction of two educational
centers. The projects are being undertaken by Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex,
Shahid Tondguyan Petrochemical Company, and Fajr Energy.
The specific projects include:
- A
drinking water transmission line from Salt Lake Station to Bandar
Mahshahr, led by Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company.
- Phase
II of the water storage reservoir in Taleghani Township, also by Bandar
Imam Petrochemical Company.
- Construction
of Shahid Tondguyan Petrochemical School in Bandar Imam Khomeini (RA).
- Construction
of Fajr Energy Technical High School in Bandar Imam Khomeini (RA).
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by local lawmakers, including
Amir Hayat-Moghaddam, Member of Parliament for Bandar Mahshahr, Omidiyeh,
Hendijan, and Bandar Imam Khomeini, as well as senior executives from the
petrochemical sector and local government officials.
Mohammadreza Motiri, CEO of the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone
Organization, said the projects are part of a broader agenda to implement 34
infrastructure, educational, health, and development projects across Bandar
Mahshahr, Bandar Imam Khomeini, Taleghani Township, Madani Township, and
surrounding areas.
“The water transmission line and Taleghani reservoir projects aim to
address aging network issues and ensure sustainable water supply,” Motiri said,
emphasizing that all projects have defined timelines and will be closely
monitored, with progress reports shared publicly and with senior national
officials.
These projects are being implemented under the Strategic Council of
the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone with the goal of enhancing public
services, education, and infrastructure for residents in the region.
