The event, held in Tehran Province from Nov. 2 to 5, brought together
the country’s top young cyclists. Representing East Azerbaijan Province, the
Tabriz-based team delivered a commanding performance, reaffirming its leading
position in Iran’s track cycling scene.
Under the guidance of coaches Alireza Farid and Hossein Jahanbanian
and team manager Morteza Jafari Hamed, the squad maintained focus and cohesion
throughout the four-day contest. Technical support was provided by Masoud
Khorrammanesh. The team lineup featured Arash Mirbagheri, Amir Reza Alipour,
Arvin Javaheri, Ali Golestani, Ali Jahanbanian, Artin Sedighi, Hossein Delfi,
and Ali Asghar Lotfi.
The Tabriz riders opened the tournament with a strong start, capturing
gold in both the team sprint and team pursuit events. Hossein Delfi continued
the winning streak by seizing gold in the 200-meter sprint, while Alipour
followed with silver, underscoring the emergence of a new generation of fast
riders from Tabriz.
In the omnium, national team cyclist Arash Mirbagheri—an Asian Games
medalist—won gold, with teammate Arvin Javaheri claiming silver to extend the
team’s dominance.
The second day saw continued success as Delfi triumphed again in the
keirin event, with Alipour taking another silver. In the individual pursuit,
Mirbagheri and Golestani completed a one-two finish for Tabriz Petrochemical,
sealing the team’s overall victory.
With a substantial points lead over their rivals, Tabriz Petrochemical
Cycling Team was crowned national youth team champion, once again bringing
