The agreements, also attended by Petroleum Minister Mohsen Paknejad,
cover fields including Rag Sefid 1 and 2, Bibi Hakimeh 1, Kopal Bangestan,
Ahvaz 1, 3, and 4 (Asmari), Golkhari 3, Lali, Haft Shahidan, Zilai, and Karun.
Under the contracts, approximately 295 million cubic feet of flare gas
per day will be captured, 32 flare stacks will be shut down, and the projects
are expected to be completed within 18 months.
Notably, five domestic private investors—Herbed Niroo, Tamkar Gas,
Haftan Gas, Rasm Ara Partnership, and Nirpars—will work alongside foreign
partners to accelerate technology transfer to Iran.
The initiatives are projected to reduce daily greenhouse gas emissions
by roughly 30,000 tons and create sustainable employment opportunities in
Khuzestan province.
