TEHRAN, Dec. 8 (NIPNA) – The head of Iran’s National Petrochemical Co. (NPC) marked the start of Administrative Integrity Week in the oil industry with a message underscoring the need for transparency and anti-corruption efforts across the sector, state media reported on Monday.

Hassan Abbaszadeh, who also serves as deputy oil minister, said the industry’s role in the national economy makes adherence to administrative ethics and stronger safeguards against financial misconduct increasingly vital.

He said an inter-agency task force on administrative integrity and anti-corruption in the oil and petrochemical sectors has organised its work around seven core areas. According to Abbaszadeh, the group’s achievements include expanding electronic systems for financial and administrative processes, reducing violations through preventive oversight, offering specialised staff training, strengthening internal reporting mechanisms and developing performance indicators to improve efficiency.

Abbaszadeh thanked members of the task force for what he described as committed and responsible work, adding that collective effort was essential for building a transparent and efficient environment.

Administrative Integrity Week in Iran’s oil industry runs from Dec. 9 to Dec. 15 and is organised by the Petroleum Ministry’s inspection and performance oversight department in cooperation with the task force.
