Seyed Ali Al-Ezzam, head of the Iraqi Traders
Union, said after the exhibition’s opening ceremony that this was his second
time attending the event. “We were able to source the materials we need from
Iranian suppliers for import into Iraq,” he said.
Al-Ezzam praised the growth of the 19th edition
of IranPlast compared with the previous year, both in terms of participant
numbers and exhibition booths, and expressed hope for continued business
cooperation. “Iraq is a suitable market for Iranian plastic products, and we
welcome ongoing collaboration. We hope to see trade between Iranian and Iraqi
traders expand further,” he added.
The IranPlast exhibition, held at the permanent
Tehran International Fairgrounds, runs through Thursday, September 10, and
features more than 700 domestic and 67 foreign exhibitors. The event was
inaugurated by Hassan Abbaszadeh, Deputy Oil Minister and CEO of the National
Petrochemical Company, alongside senior officials from Iran’s oil and
petrochemical sector.
