Ahmad Moradi, a member of parliament’s Energy Committee, told NIPNA
that the presence of numerous domestic and foreign companies at the exhibition
demonstrates the sector’s dynamism and strengthens competition.
“The steady increase in petrochemical production capacity is a source
of national pride. Despite economic challenges, the industry continues to move
forward, and we must rely more on knowledge-based companies to enhance its
capabilities,” he said.
Moradi added that the petrochemical industry is a leading driver of
Iran’s economy, influencing many other sectors, and said parliament stood ready
to support initiatives that expand its value creation.
He said IranPlast plays a crucial role in introducing the country’s
petrochemical potential, reinforcing the spirit of self-reliance and showing
how existing infrastructure can be leveraged to serve national interests.
