“IranPlast is the most important plastics and petrochemical event in
West Asia and a strategic opportunity for Tabriz Petrochemical to present our
capabilities and raise our national and international profile,” CEO Seyed
Norollah Mirashrafi told NIPNA.
The company recently developed two new grades of acrylonitrile
butadiene styrene (ABS) with enhanced impact resistance and flow properties,
including one tailored for PC-ABS alloys used in automotive, electronics and
home appliances. The new materials will also serve applications in household
equipment, safety gear, office furniture and transportation, he said.
Mirashrafi added that Tabriz Petrochemical is prioritizing the launch
of a 310,000-tonne high-density polyethylene (HDPE) project, due to come
onstream next year, alongside energy-saving and environmental projects such as
wastewater reuse.
He said the exhibition will also facilitate talks with domestic and
foreign companies on long-term polymer exports, research partnerships and
feedstock supply. “IranPlast, under the slogan ‘Global Business,’ provides
direct access to key customers and investors, helping strengthen Iran’s
position in emerging markets,” Mirashrafi said.
The CEO called for stronger government support to ease export
regulations, transport and financial transactions, and urged organizers to
enhance the exhibition’s business-to-business segment, create digital platforms
for follow-up talks, and provide clearer investment opportunities.
Tabriz Petrochemical, a leading polymer producer in northwestern Iran,
has used past editions of IranPlast to widen its sales network and secure
long-term export deals, Mirashrafi said.
