According to a statement from Pars Petrochemical’s public relations
office, the meeting brought together high-ranking civil defense officers from
oil-rich regions across Iran to review strategies aimed at enhancing the
resilience of the national oil and gas industry.
Brig. Gen. Jalali emphasized the strategic importance of passive
defense frameworks in the energy sector. “Implementing these strategies hinges
on prudent planning and foresight, rather than just hardware and software
systems,” he said during the session.
The summit, held on May 5, aimed to foster collaboration and address
regional challenges through proactive civil defense planning.
Siavash Mirhaji, Senior Emergency Conditions Officer for the
petrochemical companies in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone, praised the
participation of senior officials and stressed the value of such gatherings in
identifying and resolving pressing regional issues.
At the conclusion of the event, Mirhaji announced the appointments of
Peyman Esfahani, CEO of Damavand Energy Assaluyeh, and Abdolrahim Ghanbarian,
CEO of Pardis Petrochemical Company, as the first and second deputies,
respectively, for emergency response leadership in the region’s petrochemical
sector.
