Hossein Salimi told NIPNA that the petrochemical
industry is one of the development capacities in the country, and said:
"Despite some problems, many petrochemical complexes are operating at full
capacity. It is also expected that in the next five years, with the inauguration
of some of the projects in the second and third petrochemical industry leap, a
great change will take place in the economy and industry of the country.”
He added: "Petrochemical industry is the driving
force of the country's development; this industry is one of the economic
advantages of the country."
“Iran has a special advantage in the region in terms of
petrochemical feedstock diversity. We also produce several million tons a year
in this industry, and several petrochemical projects are under construction,
and we must support the process of building these projects by taking advantage
of all the existing capacities of the administration and the private sector,”
he went on to add.
Salimi added: "The solution to preventing sale of crude
oil and gas is to develop the petrochemical industry, and on the other hand,
this industry can be a reliable alternative to the sale of crude oil."
