In a statement, Hassan Abbaszadeh, Deputy Petroleum Minister and NPC
CEO, thanked employees for what he described as their unwavering presence and
professional response in safeguarding facilities during what he called “one of
the most sensitive and proud moments in modern Iranian history.”
“From the earliest hours of the aggression, you stood firm, calm and
determined,” Abbaszadeh wrote, highlighting the consistent holding of
crisis-management meetings and uninterrupted operations across petrochemical
complexes. He said the sector ensured public reassurance by maintaining safety
and reliability in operations throughout the emergency.
According to Abbaszadeh, the NPC and affiliated entities swiftly
adapted operations beyond routine responsibilities, leveraging technical and
human capacities to guarantee uninterrupted supplies of critical materials. He
praised what he described as “unprecedented synergy” among NPC, petrochemical
firms, and oil sector companies under the Ministry of Petroleum.
The official underscored the role of both public and private sector
operators, including holding companies, in aligning with NPC’s strategic
directives. “In the shortest possible time, the petrochemical industry was
positioned optimally to confront the crisis,” he stated.
Abbaszadeh emphasized that the industry had proven to be “not merely
an economic sector, but a strategic, people-based institution and a reliable
national stronghold in times of peril.”
He added that the experiences of the past 12 days had been fully
documented and would serve as a reference for future crisis management efforts.
“I sincerely thank every manager, expert, engineer, worker, and dedicated
employee who defended national stability with courage and wisdom,” the
statement concluded. “Today, more than ever, Iran’s petrochemical industry
stands proud and resilient, powered by its invaluable human capital.”
