Speaking on the final day of the 29th Iran International
Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition in Tehran, CEO Abolfazl
Najjarzadeh said Bank Melli is prepared to collaborate on financing development
projects in the petrochemical industry.
“The banking system stands beside the petrochemical sector,”
Najjarzadeh said during a meeting with Hassan Abbaszadeh, Deputy Petroleum
Minister and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC). “Financing from
banks will accelerate the country's industrial and economic development, and
Bank Melli is fully prepared to play its part.”
Abbaszadeh also emphasized the critical role of banks in
driving investment in the petrochemical sector, urging stronger participation
from financial institutions in advancing key development plans.
The meeting underscored growing interest from Iran’s
financial sector in supporting strategic industries as part of broader economic
growth efforts.
