NPC’s Director of Production Control Ghodratollah Farajpour
told reporters following a gathering of petrochemical executives on Sunday that
despite the fact that the country was hit by several flash floods in the beginning
months of the current calendar year, which began on March 21, productivity of the
petrochemical sector was beyond last year levels.
“By good crisis management and timely repairing operations,
five 300,000 ton ethylene production units came online immediately after the
floods,” he said.
The official further said that the NPC was seriously seeking
to ensure support for domestic manufacturers and industrialists in petrochemical
projects.
