Speaking to NIPNA, a member of the Civil Affairs Committee
of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Damadi, voiced the body’s
support for the petrochemicals industry, saying that export of petrochemicals
could increase by supporting the sector.
Damadi said that the polymer and petrochemicals output of
the country could be enhanced by providing support for the sector now that the
country’s is directly targeted by US sanctions.
The MP said that oil, gas and petrochemicals industries could
create jobs that is of utmost importance under the current circumstances.
He described the petrochemicals industry as a mother
industry that enjoyed many advantages including cheap feedstock, skilled labor
