Petchem Assistance to Flood Victims in Sistan and Baluchestan

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Following the unprecedented floods in Sistan and Baluchestan province, especially in the southern regions of Baluchestan such as Dashtiari and the outskirts of Chabahar, the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Support, through the efforts of Shasta and Negin-e Makran Petrochemical Companies, rushed to aid the flood-stricken areas.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of Negin-e Makran Petrochemical Development Company, the Managing Director of Negin-e Makran Petrochemical Development Company stated: "In the form of providing and distributing foodstuffs, clothing, blankets, essential medicines, and sanitary items, aid was extended to the flood victims in Sistan and Baluchestan."

Alireza Moniri Abiyaneh added: "Given the engineering capabilities of Makran Petrochemical Complex, this industrial complex has taken steps to reopen blocked routes, evacuate flooded areas and residential homes, and relocate flood victims to safe areas by deploying engineers, technical staff, and transferring road construction machinery and equipment."

He further stated: "One of the important programs of this industrial complex, like other organizations of the Armed Forces Social Security Organization (AFSSO), is to provide humanitarian assistance and solidarity to fellow citizens during crises and natural disasters. This petrochemical complex has always been at the forefront in fulfilling social responsibilities and providing assistance to compatriots to the extent of its capabilities."
