During a visit
to the major pipeline, Behzad Mohammadi said on Wednesday that the project had
created life, jobs and hope for the regional people as it supplied feedstock to
dozens of petrochemical plants along its route.
Fed by Keveh Petrochemical
Plant, the pipeline supplies ethylene to petrochemical plants operating in western
provinces of Iran.
Mohammdi also
visited Miyandoab Petrochemical Project in the northwestern province of West
Azarbaijan.
He said the
plant was one of the 20 prioritized plants considered by the Iranian Ministry
of Petroleum for inauguration in the current calendar year, which began on
March 21, adding the project would become operational in a stable fashion next
calendar year.
“There are no
concerns as of development of the project and we hope that the project would
undergo its pre-commissioning and startup stages without any trouble,” he
added.
