Ghodratollah Farajpour, director of production control at NPC said given increased gas production from various phases of the supergiant South Pars gas field, there would be no restrictions in feedstock supply to petrochemical plants during winter when domestic consumption for natural gas skyrockets.
Speaking to NIPNA, the official said in previous winters, numerous petrochemical facilities had to halt their operation due to feedstock shortage, but this year, “there will be no restrictions in feedstock supply in the petrochemical industry.”
He also stated that the supply of ethane needed for petrochemical complexes this year had improved dramatically compared to last winter.
