PGPIC Building $8.5 Billion Projects

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- The CEO of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC) said the holding was building 9 projects which were totally valued at $8.5 billion dollars.

During a meeting with the CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Jafar Rabiei said PGPIC was currently building a number of major petrochemical projects, namely NGL 3200, Hengam, Apadana, Gachsaran, Sadaf, Lordegan and Ilam. 

PGPIC is the largest petrochemical company in Iran and is regarded as the biggest exporter of non-oil goods in the country. 

 According to Rabiei, PGPIC’s installed capacity stands at 24 million tons per year and the company accounts for 37 percent of Iran’s petrochemical output and 41 percent of the exports. 

Last year, it exported nearly 8.5 million tons of petrochemicals.
