TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Bhavin Vora, head of India’s Polymer BAZAAR and the coordinator of the Indian delegation to IranPlast trade show, held Sept. 24-27 in Tehran, said nearly 40 representatives of the Indian plastics and polymer industry visited the showcase, adding cooperation of Iran and India would persist despite US pressure.

"Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is the most important product exchanged between Iran and India, and the activity of many merchants present in this edition of the trade show is also related to this product," he said.

Referring to the long history of cooperation between Iran and India in various fields, Vora noted: “Iran, as a country rich in oil and gas resources, enjoys a prominent petrochemical industry, and despite US efforts to put pressure on the Indian government with the goal of reducing imports from Iran, the relationship between the two countries will not dwindle; rather, it will flourish more and more day by day.”

As an example, he cited the development of the Chabahar port by the Indians as an effort aimed at deepening relations between the two countries.

"The trade show has been improving year by year, and we have witnessed some improvements over three years of our presence in this important plastic industry trade show," the head of the Polymer Bazaar said.
