Grounds Broken for Several Projects at Ghadir Petchem Plant

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Regional and government officials broke grounds for construction of several projects at Ghadir Petrochemical Complex in Mahshahr Petrochemical Hub, Khuzestan, southwestern Iran.

The projects concern construction of the VCM 800 unit, form-fill-seal (FFS) packaging unit and a land-based storage tank for the pre-refining system of the VCM unit.

 The FFS packaging line is to be built with the latest technologies in the world to replace plastic bags with paper packs.

 Besides the projects, construction of the wastewater treatment unit of the plant was also kicked off. Installation and operation of online chimney analyzers and COD, TDS and PH analyzers for online monitoring of pollutants also began.

 An investment of Rls. 155 billion, $2 million and €1 million will be required for completion of the projects.
