Speaking to NIPNA, Omid Shahidinia, CEO of the
petzone, said, so far in the current calendar year which began on March 21, 12
letters of intent have been signed for developing downstream projects in the
zone.
The projects will supply items used in the
propylene and methanol chains and are planned to come online within the next
three years with an investment of $2.5 billion, creating 1,700 jobs, the official
added.
He further said that 27 projects are under
construction in the petzone with $1.7 billion of investment and expected to
create 2.500 jobs.
