Asaluyeh Phase 3 Design Ready by March 2019

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- An official with the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) said the design of the third phase of Iran's southern petrochemical hub, Asaluyeh, will be ready by the end of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21.

Director of NPC's Plans Ali Mohammad Bossaqzadeh announced that the design of Phase 3 of Asaluyeh petrochemical zone will be ready by March 2019, adding: "The project will be constructed for completing the sector's value chain in Asaluyeh."

He also described the progress of Asaluyeh Phase 2 projects as satisfactory currently.

Iran has defined over 60 petrochemical projects and would near massive investments for their completion.

The official said by the end of the previous calendar year, the progress of Kangan Petrochemical Plant increased from 34.7% to 46% over the preceding year, while the Kimia Middle East project's progress was registered at up to 30%.

He pointed out that the progress of Marjan Petrochemical Company rose from 90 percent to 97 percent during the year, while Damavand Utility Plant's progress rose 39.6 percent to 46 percent during the year.

Also, development of Lavan Petrochemical Plant progressed 25% from 20.5 percent in the preceding year, he added.
