Speaking to NIPNA, Ali Mohammad Bossaqzadeh, the director of projects
at the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), said the industry is one of the leading
sectors in exploiting domestic manufacturers in projects.
"We expect that domestic capabilities are exploited more than
before regarding the fact that there is an emphasis on using domestic
manufacturing in petrochemical projects," the official said.
He said: "Good measures were taken for attracting finances and
licensing in the sector last year and the projects' developments were much
better than the preceding year."
The official added that at least 5 projects are expected to come
online this calendar year which began on March 21.
Optimizing and improving the capacity of the MTBE unit of Bandar Emam
Petrochemical Plant (increasing the
unit's production capacity by 150,000 tons per year), optimizing the H-Poly
unit of the Tondgooyan Petrochemical Complex to increase its output capacity by
26,000 tons per year, planned capacity-building corrective projects at
Fanavaran Petrochemical Complex, construction of the second unit of PBR production
at 50,000 tons in Takht Jamshid Complex in Mahshahr, production of 40,000 tons
of potassium sulfate at Urumia Petrochemical Complex, LTE separation in Noori
Petrochemical Complex, eliminating operational bottlenecks of Phase 2 of Kavian
Petrochemical Complex, projects to increase the capacity of olefin units in the
Arya Sasol, Jam, Morvarid and Kavian petrochemical plants, and the purchase and
installation of a 350-ton auxiliary boiler for increasing the steam production
capacity and increasing the capacity of the desalting unit by 7,500 cubic
meters per day at Mobin Petrochemical Complex, are some of the most important
projects pursued by NPC in the current calendar year.
