Speaking to NIPNA, Ali Mohammad Bossaqzadeh, director
of production control at NPC, called on local builders to acquire state-of-the-art
technical savvy in production of items and parts with the aim of development
the sector.
“Today, given the plans devised for the petrochemical
industry, the sector is entering a new phase in its development and local
manufacturers of items and parts needed in the industry can play a more crucial
role in the sector by acquiring the latest technologies in the world,” the
official said.
Fortunately, the use of items and parts manufactured
domestically is increasing in under-construction petrochemical projects of the
country and most of the projects seek local contractors and their capabilities
in their development, Bossaqzadeh added.
He added: "Through the empowerment of
the private sector, we can realize the sector’s plans, and the transfer of
know-how, localization of technologies, and local manufacturing items and parts,
are fully supported by Iranian Ministry of Petroleum and the National
Petrochemical Company (NPC).”
