Given the efforts
exerted by the Rouhani administration since 2013, the level of petrochemical exports
has risen from 12.8 million tons per year in 2013 to 20.85 mt/y in 2017.

way that petrochemical export revenues have fallen from 9.9 billion dollars in
2013 to $9.8b in 2017 despite the arresting growth in exports.
Iranian petrochemical
producers have exported over 16.4 million tons of products in the first 3
quarters of the current calendar year, generating some $4.3b.
