Iran Exports $8.5b of Petchem Products since March

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Iran exported over 16.4 million tons of petrochemicals in the first quarters of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21. The exports fetched 8.5 billion dollars in petrochemical revenues during the period.

National Petrochemical Company (NPC) reported that the petrochemical plants operating at Pars Special Economic Energy Zone, Asaluyeh, southern Iran, exported 8.3 million tons of petrochemicals valued at $4.3 billion during the period.

The plants operating in Mahshahr Petrochemical Zone, southwestern province of Khuzestan, exported 4.6 million tons of products worth $2.4b during the 9 months, NPC said.

The plants operating in other parts of the country supplied 3.4 million tons of products in the period for $2.78b.
