Ali
Mohammad Rejali, Rejal Petrochemical Company's managing director, said the deal
concerns licensing and carrying out basic engineering activities with UOP,
adding detail engineering activities of the project have been ceded to domestic
developers.
UOP
provides technical service and support, with expertise in plant operations,
asset management, customized training, strategic and tactical support,
troubleshooting, and engineering services.
The
company's commitment to innovation is based on an extensive network of
laboratories and pilot plant facilities. UOP’s worldwide sales, support and
manufacturing facilities includes locations in the Americas, Asia, Europe and
the Middle East.
Salman
Farsi Petrochemical Project is the biggest propylene production unit in Iran
with an annual production capacity of 450,000 tons.
He
said domestic resources have been tapped for opening the first letter of credit
for financing the project, adding the project has so far made 15% physical
progress.
The
plant will be constructed with €240 million of investment of which 15% has been
produced by Rejal Petrochemical Company.
