POGDC Ranked 57 in ICIS Top Chemical 100 Countries

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Iran's Parsian Oil and Gas Development Company (POGDC) has improved its status in 2017 ICIS Top Chemical Companies by 8 steps from 2016 securing rank 57 in the list, the company's managing director said.

POGDC is a private Iranian petrochemical holding company and was established in 2007.

Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group (public joint stock) was initially registered under the name of Alvand Ghadir Development Company on 30.07.2007 at the Company Registration Department of Iran.

According to the company's website, POGDC has a registered capital equivalent of 40,500 billion Rials at present.

Morteza Azizi told NIPNA that the company has been ranked among the world's leading chemical companies given the high efficiency of its sales and assets yield.

In 2014, the company was ranked 83 in the list and gained no better status than 64 ranking in the least in 2016.

The company's revenues rose by 12% in 2016 from the preceding year reaching $7.5b, he said.

The ICIS Top 100 Chemical Companies is a ranking of the world’s largest chemical producers by sales. The listing includes both public and private companies, as well as additional metrics on operating profit, net income, capital expenditures, R&D spending, as well as total assets and employees.
