10-Month Methanol Exports Up 8.6% Y/Y

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Iran’s export of methanol in the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20 rose by 8.6% in terms of volume from the same period last year but was valued 6% lower in the period.

 

Methanol made up 3.4% of the country’s non-oil exports in the period. 

Moreover, export of urea rose by 19.24% in terms of volume and fell 12% in value during the same period. 

Export of polyethylene film rose and fell by 22% and 8% respectively in terms of volume and value. 

This is while export of HDPE blow mold rose by 153% in terms of volume and 119% in value during these 10 months. 

Export of petrochemical crossed 8.5 million tons by the petrochemical facilities operating at Pars Special Economic Zone, located in Assalouyeh, south of Iran, fetching the country over $3.6b in revenues.
