Addressing the opening ceremony of the 13th Oil Industry Show in Assalouyeh, south of Iran, Shahdaei said petrochemical plants can be fully designed and constructed in Iran without any foreign assistance.
She said the quality goods supplied by Japanese and Korean companies were once as bad as those produced in China but they could reach their current level because they relied on their domestic potentialities.
Marziyeh Shahdaei, who is also deputy petroleum minister in petrochemical affairs, stressed the need for promotion of the quality of items produced domestically, saying that it is up to the manufacturers to access the latest technical savvy in order to emulate the success of their foreign rivals.
