PSEEZ Exports 21mt of Non-Oil Items in 8 Months

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Managing director of Pars Special Energy Economic Zone Mehdi Yousefi has said the region earned over $9.8b by exporting 21 million tons of non-oil items, mostly petrochemicals, in the first 8 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20.

 

The official said the exports have risen by 126% in terms of volume and 86% in terms of value year-on-year. 

Light and heavy-density polyethylene, diethylene glycol (DEG), mono and tri-ethylene glycol, urea fertilizer, butane, propane, paraxylene and methanol were top export items that were sent to 29 countries during the period. 

He also said 1.32 million tons of gas condensate valued at $486m was exported in the month of Aban (the 8th month in the Iranian calendar year beginning on October 22-November 21), up 179% in volume and 171% in value year-on-year.
