TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Zagros Petrochemical Plant, the world’s biggest integrated producer of methanol, produced 1.7 million tons of petrochemical projects in the first 7 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20, setting a record in export of petrochemicals in the period.

The plant exported 96% of its total output in the period between March 20 and October 21 ranking first among all other Iranian plants in terms of the volume of exported goods. 
Zagros Petrochemical Plant can supply 3.3 million tons of petrochemical products annually. 
The plant is a key player in international markets.  
Iran’s total petrochemical exports in the 7 months stood at 11.7 million tons fetching the country some $4.8b.
