The event recognized a group of veterans, retirees and employees and
workers selected as outstanding performers for 2025, in recognition of their
years of service and contributions to the development of the Petrochemical
Special Economic Zone.
Mohammad-Reza Motiri, CEO of the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone
Organization, said human capital remains central to the organization’s
performance, describing the experience accumulated by employees over years of
service as an important institutional asset.
Motiri said one of the organization’s main priorities in recent years
had been resolving outstanding projects and unfinished work. Despite difficult
conditions, various incidents and disruptions caused by the recent war, a
significant portion of those tasks had been completed with the support and
commitment of employees.
Organization Seeks to Strengthen Employee Welfare
Motiri said the organization has economic capacity that, if managed
through coordination, planning and sound decision-making, can allow it to
operate effectively even under difficult conditions.
He also highlighted the organization’s recent annual general meeting,
saying it was held successfully despite the country’s wartime conditions and
that the related employee bonuses were distributed shortly afterward.
The CEO said the organization was also working to expand employee
welfare facilities and services. He said suitable locations in several cities
were being finalized for employees and their families, with the aim of
providing greater access to recreational facilities.
New Main Entrance Planned for Site One
Motiri said construction had begun on a new entrance to Site One,
replacing an entrance that had remained without an appropriate structure
reflecting the status of the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone for about 24
years.
The project includes a new gateway as well as facilities for security
and customs operations. The organization expects the project to be completed in
the coming months.
Employee Housing Plan Under Review
Motiri also said the organization was pursuing an employee housing
project whose preliminary work and designs had previously been prepared in
cooperation with the human resources division of the National Petrochemical
Company.
Implementation was later suspended because of prevailing conditions,
he said, adding that the organization would seek to revive the project if
financing and other required conditions become available.
Motiri said the organization’s approach covers permanent and non-permanent
employees as well as workers, emphasizing that all personnel should benefit
from the organization’s support programs.
He said there was still substantial unfinished work ahead, but that
collective effort, planning and coordination could help put the Petrochemical
Special Economic Zone on a stronger path of development.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of plaques and gifts to
the organization’s veterans, retirees and outstanding employees and workers for
2025.
