The commitment was made at a meeting between Omid Shakeri, deputy oil minister and head of the National Petrochemical Company, and Farshid Farrokhnejad, chief executive of Bank Mellat.
Shakeri described Bank Mellat as a key strategic partner for Iran's oil and petrochemical industries, saying its financial resources and banking capabilities could play an important role in advancing priority projects.
He stressed the importance of securing financing to implement major petrochemical development plans.
Farrokhnejad said Bank Mellat was ready to contribute to the reconstruction of facilities damaged in the war and support expansion projects in the petrochemical sector, which he described as a key driver of the Iranian economy.
He said the bank's technological infrastructure, specialised workforce and broad range of financial services provided it with significant capacity to support the industry.
The meeting follows a series of discussions hosted by the National Petrochemical Company in recent days with the chief executives of Bank Tejarat and Bank Mellat to explore financing options.
The discussions are expected to continue until agreements are reached on funding reconstruction projects and completing priority petrochemical developments, the NPC said.
