Gross profit rose to 75.7 trillion rials ($757 billion at
1,000 rials per dollar) from 61.6 trillion rials in the same period last year,
while net profit increased 11% to 48.3 trillion rials, according to a company
statement carried by NIPNA.
Operating revenue reached about 156.4 trillion rials during
the six-month period.
The company, which is the largest electricity consumer among
petrochemical producers in its region, was particularly affected by power
supply restrictions, the statement said.
Despite these constraints, Arvand reduced the cost of
operating revenue by 19% to 80.7 trillion rials from 98.9 trillion rials a year
earlier, reflecting improved cost management.
Its gross profit margin increased to 48% from 38%, while its
net profit margin rose to 30% from 26%, the company said.
Arvand also reported progress in restoring production
capacity and increasing output across its chlor-alkali and polyvinyl chloride
(PVC) product chains after addressing some operational constraints.
Continued cost control, improved equipment efficiency and
more stable production could help strengthen the company’s operational and
financial performance in the second half of the year, the statement said.
