TEHRAN, June 17 (NIPNA) – Iran’s Petroleum Ministry is expanding the use of its RESAN (Rapid Oil Complaint Handling) system to support monitoring and enforcement of energy-saving measures across administrative buildings, according to officials participating in a recent coordination meeting.

The meeting, attended by support deputies and inspectors from the oil industry’s main companies, focused on supervisory mechanisms for reducing energy consumption and utilizing the RESAN platform to receive and track reports related to compliance with energy-efficiency requirements and conservation initiatives.

Mohammadreza Pirzadi Jahromi, Deputy for Complaint Handling and Citizen Rights Protection at the Petroleum Ministry’s General Inspection Department, said the system was initially established to gather employee feedback and support improvements in organizational processes.

He noted that, in line with the Petroleum Ministry’s emphasis on energy management, RESAN is now being used to collect reports on adherence to energy-reduction requirements, implementation of conservation programs, and monitoring of related actions within administrative facilities across the oil sector.

Pirzadi Jahromi also stressed the importance of cooperation among relevant departments in reviewing and addressing cases submitted through the platform. He said the broader objectives include strengthening oversight mechanisms, increasing employee engagement and satisfaction, and providing effective feedback to management.

Participants in the meeting highlighted the need for closer coordination between operational and supervisory units, particularly in support of energy-efficiency initiatives and efforts to promote a culture of conservation. They also emphasized the importance of managerial measures aimed at improving consumption patterns and reducing energy waste in administrative buildings.

According to the report, the RESAN telephone platform is currently available to oil industry employees during business hours through dedicated corporate and public telephone lines. Preparations are also underway to expand the service to a 24-hour operating model.
